– Insert condensation drain hose -1- in body opening -2- until it
is heard to engage.
Note
♦ It must be possible to push condensation drain hose -1- onto
the heater and air conditioning unit connection without tension.
♦ The condensation drain hose must be fitted securely to the
condensation drain connection on the tunnel.
♦ The sealing lip must not be seated loosely on body aperture
-2-.

Removing
– Remove right centre console trim in footwell ⇒ General body

NOTICE
Risk of damage to airbag control unit. Connectors may corrode
if moisture enters.
– After disconnecting, cover or seal off connectors to prevent
the ingress of moisture.

– Pull off connector from airbag control unit - J234- -6-.
– Cover airbag control unit - J234- and connector -6- with wa‐
terproof sheet.
– Carefully push floor covering aside and cover it in area under
condensation drain hose with impermeable sheeting and wa‐
ter absorbing paper.
– Carefully pull condensation drain hose off heater and air con‐
ditioner unit -1- and body -5-.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal. Observe the following:
– The condensation drain hose can be properly pushed onto
heater and air conditioner unit -1- to stop in only one position.

Lug -arrow- on connecting piece must engage in guide -2-.
If a commercially available cable tie -3- was installed to retain
the condensation drain -5-, renew it.
•
The condensation drain hose must be routed below the wiring
harness of the airbag control unit - J234- -6- in the figure.
– Insert condensation drain hose -1- in body opening until it is

The condensation drain hose -1- must be properly clipped in
(pre-tensioned) at the body opening -2-.
•

The sealing lip must not be loose on the body aperture.
The retaining tabs must be fully engaged.
If the tension is insufficient, seal joint between body and brack‐
et using, e.g., silicone adhesive sealant ⇒ Electronic parts
catalogue (ETKA) .
Note
♦ Install the condensation drain hose so that it is not twisted or
pinched.
♦ When installing floor covering, ensure that the condensation
drain hose is not pinched by the floor covering.
♦ If the condensation drain hose is loose on the heater and air
conditioning unit connection, secure it e.g. with a hose clip to

– Carefully pull condensation drain hose -3- off heater and air
conditioning unit -1- and off body -4-.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal. Observe the following:
