– Open cover -2- over battery positive terminal.
– Check main fuse carrier with battery terminal clamp -4- for
secure seating. If necessary, retighten nut -5-.
– Check battery -1- for firm seating. If necessary, retighten bolt
-arrow- to specified torque.

The following are measures to be carried out during a battery
inspection within the scope of maintenance.

Visual check.
Check whether colour indicator is “3-colour” or “2-colour”.
Does not apply to AGM batteries.

Battery check using battery tester with printer -VAS 6161-.
Depending on the result of the battery test, “perform cur‐
rent draw test” (charged separately).
