β Tape up door window to prevent it from sliding down.
β Switch off ignition and all electrical consumers. Withdraw igβ
nition key.
β Disconnect connector -5-.
β Remove bolts -4- (qty. 3).
β Remove window regulator motor -3- from mounting brackets
of cable drum.

β Position window regulator motor -3- on mounting brackets of
cable drum. Move door window up and down slightly so that
the splines between window regulator motor and cable drum
engage more easily.
β Tighten bolts -4-.
β Connect connector -5-.
β A new control unit -1- must be coded using β Vehicle diagβ
nostic tester.
β The work procedure and notes on the automatic window raisβ
ing and lowering system as well as on the excess-force limiβ
tation feature can be found in β Maintenance ; Booklet .
The remaining installation steps are carried out in the reverse seβ
quence of removal.

β Loosen clip -3- and push inwards.

β Push window regulator in door downwards and forwards

β Insert window regulator -1- through opening in door
-arrow a- and move to mounting position -arrow b-.
β Insert studs of window regulator through door inner panel

β Tighten hexagon nuts -2 and 5-.
β Press cable drum against door inner part until locking devices
-4- engage audibly.
β Attach clip -4- to door.

β Attach grommet -2- to cover -1-.

β Engage cover -1- around circumference.
Note
β¦ Check proper seating of cover by pressing with fingers around circumference.
β¦ If fitted, join electrical connector at grommet.

β Remove bolts -2- and remove striker -1-.
Installing
Note
A bent striker pin (square U-shape) must be installed.
β Position striker pin -1- on B-pillar -3- with the U-shape facing
inwards. Tighten bolts -2-.

Note
β¦ When removing lock cylinder cover cap, the screwdriver
should not be turned and the screwdriver should not be used
as a lever.
β¦ The lock cylinder and cover cap for lock cylinder are only inβ
stalled on the driver side.
Removing

β Pull door handle away from door.
β Push a small screwdriver -3- slightly -arrow a- into opening on
underside of lock cylinder cover cap.

β Pull lock cylinder housing cover cap -1-, together with small
screwdriver, slightly away from door from underside

β Push cap upwards off lock cylinder.
Installing
β Pull door handle -1- away from door.
β Push lock cylinder cover cap -2- at a slight angle from above
-arrow a- onto lock cylinder.
β Push lock cylinder cover cap -2- onto door -arrow b- until cover
cap engages in lock cylinder.

facing upwards up to locking hook of door handle bracket.
β Pull door handle -2- away from door -arrow b-.
β Push disassembly and assembly tool - T10539- approx. 5 mm
towards front -arrow b- until hook is released.

Note
Do not push the door handle into the door. Otherwise the door handle bracket will be damaged.
