β Remove left luggage compartment side trim β General body
repairs, interior; Rep. gr. 70 ; Luggage compartment trims;
Removing and installing luggage compartment side trim .
β Remove bumper cover β page 287 .
β Detach electrical connector -3- in interior.
β If present, remove reducing agent tank β Rep. gr. 26 ; SCR
system (selective catalytic reduction), Assembly overview -
reducing agent tank .
β Unscrew bolts -4-.
β Pull towing bracket -1- in a parallel movement out of longituβ
dinal members.

β Installation is carried out in reverse order.
Note
The expanding nuts -2- seal the interior against exhaust gases and must always be renewed in the event of
damage.
β Perform functional check after installation of towing bracket.

Removing
β Remove bumper cover β page 287 .
β Remove towing bracket -4- β page 424 .
β Unscrew bolt -3-.
β Take off cover -2-.
β Remove drive -1-.
Installing
Note
β¦ Before fitting cover, the area where the seal touches it must be cleaned.
β¦ Under no circumstances must water be allowed to enter the trigger unit -1-.
