Removing
– Remove plenum chamber cover ⇒ General body repairs, ex‐
terior; Rep. gr. 50 ; Plenum chamber cover; Removing and
installing plenum chamber cover .
– Remove wiring harness from studs of nuts -3-.
– Unscrew nuts -3-.
– Remove alarm horn - H12- -1- together with bracket -4- from
plenum chamber.
– Release and disconnect electrical connector -5-.
– Undo nuts -2-.
– Remove alarm horn - H12- -1- from bracket -4-.
Installing
Install in the reverse order of removal, observing the following:
– Perform functional check.

– Release retaining tabs in direction of arrows -A- and -B-, re‐
spectively.
– Remove anti-theft alarm sensor - G578- -1- from storage com‐
partment in headliner.
– Remove the 3 individual sensors one after the other from stor‐
age compartment in headliner as follows:
– Release retaining tabs in direction of arrows -A- and -B-, re‐
spectively.
– Remove individual sensor -1- from storage compartment in
headliner.
Installing
Install in the reverse order of removal, observing the following:
Note
The anti-theft alarm sensor - G578- needs to be parametrised
after renewal.
– Parametrise anti-theft alarm system sensor - G578- ⇒ Vehicle
diagnostic tester.

– Remove anti-theft alarm sensor - G578- -1- in
-direction of arrow B- from storage compartment in headliner.
– Remove the 3 individual sensors one after the other from stor‐

– Release retaining tab -arrow C-.
– Remove individual sensor -3- from storage compartment in
headliner.
Installing
Install in the reverse order of removal, observing the following:
