Removing
– Move front seats as far forwards as possible.
– Pull rear trim -1- at bottom towards rear off centre console
-2-.
– Pull rear trim -1- upwards off centre console -2- -arrow-.
Installing
Continue installation in reverse order of removal, observing the

Removing
– On vehicles with dual clutch gearbox, shift selector lever to
position “D”.
– Switch off ignition.
– Fit wedge - T10383/2- at front between centre console and
selector cover, and lever selector cover off centre console by
carefully pushing wedge downwards.
– On vehicles with manual gearbox, carefully press in wedge -
T10383/1- between frame of gear lever boot and plastic frame
-arrow- as shown.
– Carefully lever off gear lever boot from plastic frame.
– Unscrew bolts -2-.
– Carefully lift front section of centre console insert -1-, and pull
it upwards.
– Use release tool - T10236- to release wiring harness catches.
– Disconnect electrical connectors.

– Carefully lift centre console insert over selector lever/gear lev‐

dash panel.
– Carefully guide centre console -1- over gear lever/selector
lever to remove.
Installing centre console

– Carefully insert centre console -1- and engage in dash panel.
– Secure centre console -2- to dash panel using 2 bolts -1-.

– Push floor covering in area of front bracket -2- aside.
– Release cover -1- from front bracket -2- and remove it.
– Remove front retainer -2- upwards from tunnel -3-.
Installing, front bracket
Note
Before installing, check all fasteners for damage and renew if
necessary.
Install in reverse order of removal.
Removing, front bracket securing element and insulation for gear
selector
– Remove centre console ⇒ page 50 .
– Unscrew bolt -1- behind selector mechanism.
– Unscrew bolt -2- in front of selector mechanism.

– Remove air duct vent at front of centre console ⇒ Heating, air

– If fitted, release 2 catches of wiring harness on left-hand side
of centre console using release tool - T10236- .
– If fitted, lever off interior aerial 1 for entry and start system -
R138- -1- from gear selector insulation -3- using release tool
- T10236- .
