2.1
Contact corrosion
Contact corrosion can occur if unsuitable fastening elements
(screws, bolts, nuts, washers) are used.
For this reason, only connecting elements with a special surface
coating have been fitted.
In addition, rubber, plastic and adhesives are made of non-con‐
ductive materials.
In case of doubt about the reusability of parts renew them ⇒
Electronic parts catalogue .
Observe the following:
♦ It is recommended to use genuine parts which are tested and
compatible with aluminium.
♦ The use of VW parts is recommended.
♦ Damage resulting from contact corrosion is not covered by the
warranty.
2.2
Routing and attachment of lines
If hydraulic, pneumatic or electrical lines are disconnected or re‐
moved and installed, make corresponding drawings or photos.
This guarantees installation in the original position.
