– Move belt height adjuster to lowest position.
Note
Bolt -2- and cap -3- are not fitted.
– Starting at bottom, detach upper B-pillar trim -1- from door seal
-arrow A-. To do this, fit wedge - T10383- on front edge of trim.
– Unclip upper B-pillar trim -1- from lower B-pillar trim -4-
-arrows B-. To do this, fit wedge - T10383- on lower edge of
trim.
Caution
When carrying out the following work, make sure not to swing
the upper B-pillar trim too far inwards to prevent damage to the
moulded headliner.

do this, swing trim slightly towards inside, and pull it off down‐

– Thread out belt webbing with latch plate through slider for belt
height adjuster and remove upper B-pillar trim.

– Push floor covering in area of bolted connections aside and
unscrew nuts -arrows-.
– Lift bracket -1- off studs and remove it.

Continue installation in reverse order of removal, observing the
following:

Before installing, check all fasteners for damage and renew if
necessary.

Removing
Front floor covering
– Remove front seats ⇒ page 275 .
– Remove rear seats ⇒ page 325 .
– Remove sill panel mouldings ⇒ page 210 .
– Remove lower A-pillar trims ⇒ page 212 .
– Remove front belt end fittings ⇒ page 89 .
– Remove centre console ⇒ page 50 .
– Remove foot rest ⇒ page 228 .
– If fitted, remove rear air duct ⇒ Heating, air conditioning; Rep.
gr. 87 ; Air duct; Assembly overview - air duct and air distri‐
bution in passenger compartment .
– Remove floor mats -1 and 2-.
– Lift front floor covering -3- at rear, and pull it towards rear.
Caution
Ensure that the floor covering is not torn in the area of the cut-
outs.
– Fold front floor covering, and remove it through front door
aperture.
Rear floor covering
– Remove rear seats ⇒ page 325 .
– Remove wheel housing trim ⇒ page 226 .
– Remove bracket for luggage compartment floor covering
⇒ page 246 .

– Pull out rear floor covering -1- from underneath luggage com‐
partment floor covering -4-.
– Pull out rear floor covering -1- from underneath front floor cov‐
ering -2-.
– Fold rear floor covering, and remove it through rear door aper‐
ture.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal.
