– Remove rear bench seat β‡’ page 364 .  
– Remove spreader rivet -2-.  
– Remove clip -3-.  
– Unclip rear sill panel moulding -1- from wheel housing trim.  
– Using wedge - T10383- , release rear sill panel moulding -1-  
from side member and beading of door seal -arrows-.  
– Remove rear sill panel moulding -1- from vehicle.  
Front sill panel moulding  
– Release rear sill panel moulding at transition to front sill panel  
moulding from body.

– Using wedge - T10383- , release locking lugs of front sill panel  
moulding -1- from lower B-pillar trim -2- -arrow A-.  
– Using wedge - T10383- , release front sill panel moulding -1-  
from side member and beading of door seal -arrows B-.  
– Open cover for belt guide and thread out seat belt.  
– Remove sill panel moulding from vehicle.  
Installing  
Continue installation in reverse order of removal, observing the  
following:  
Note  
♦ Before installing, check all fasteners for damage and renew if  
necessary.  
♦ Remove any retaining clips left in body mountings using re‐  
moval tool - T40280- and fit them in sill panel moulding for  
installation.  
♦ Following installation, ensure that the sill panel moulding is  
positioned in the door seal beading.

Note  
Removal and installation is described for the left vehicle side. Follow same instructions for the right side as  
appropriate.  
Caution  
When carrying out the steps below, the curtain airbag may be‐  
come damaged. For this reason, proceed with extreme caution  
during the removal.  
– Remove A-pillar gap cover β‡’ page 220 .  
Removing  
– Using removal wedge - 3409- and beginning at top, carefully  
release upper A-pillar trim -2- in area of retaining clips -1- from  
body mountings -arrow B-.  
– Pull upper A-pillar trim -2- upwards out of dash panel  
-arrow C- in order to release upper clip from body.  
– Detach upper A-pillar trim -2- -arrow A-.

Installing  
Note  
♦ Before installing, check all fasteners for damage and renew if  
necessary.  
♦ Remove any retaining clips left in body mountings using re‐  
moval tool - T40280- and fit them in A-pillar trims for installa‐  
tion.  
WARNING  
Prior to reinstallation of the upper A-pillar trim, the topmost re‐  
taining clip must be replaced by a new part.  
Install in reverse order of removal.
