Removing and installing secondary air
pump motor -V101-
Removing
– Remove noise insulation ⇒ General body repairs, exterior;
Rep. gr. 66; Noise insulation; Assembly overview - noise
insulation.
– Open locking element -arrows- and pull off the lines -1- from
secondary air pump motor -V101- -2-.
– Separate connector -2- of secondary air pump motor -V101-.
– Unscrew nuts -arrows-, and remove secondary air pump mo‐
tor -V101- -1- together with bracket.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

The flange must not be separated from the secondary air
inlet valve.
Always renew secondary air inlet valve together with flange.
Removing
– Remove air filter housing ⇒ page 443 .
– Remove battery tray ⇒ Electrical system; Rep. gr. 27; Bat‐
tery; Removing and installing battery tray.
– Remove air pipe between turbocharger and charge air cool‐
er ⇒ page 410 .

– Pull connector -3- off sender 1 for secondary air pressure
-G609- -1-, and unclip sender.
– Release both retaining tabs -arrow- of sender 1 for secon‐
dary air pressure -G609-, and pull sender 1 for secondary air
pressure -G609- -1- off connecting wire -2-.
– Pull connector -3- off secondary air inlet valve -N112- -2-.
– Pull off connecting pipe -1-. To do this, press retaining ring
together on both sides.
– Unscrew bolts -arrows- from secondary air inlet valve -N112-
-1-.
– Unscrew bolts -arrows-, and remove secondary air inlet
valve -N112- -1-.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

Renew seal ⇒ Electronic parts catalogue (ETKA)
