order of operations.
To avoid damage or dangerous situations, always park the
vehicle on a suitable parking surface ÿ .
· Before leaving the vehicle and after switching off
the ignition, make sure that the electronic parking
brake is engaged and that the control indicator

lights up red in the instrument cluster display.
The presence of irregularities in the ground, sand or mud
can cause the vehicle to not park correctly and suffer damage.
Ignition lock: Never remove the ignition
key from the ignition lock when the vehicle is moving.
· Always park the vehicle on firm, level ground.
Otherwise, the steering lock could suddenly engage and
it would be impossible to steer the vehicle.
WARNING
Components located under the vehicle, such as bumpers,
spoilers and undercarriage components, can be damaged by
driving over objects that are protruding from the ground.
1. Step on the brake pedal and hold it down.
2. When doing so, if the transmission is manual,
depress the clutch fully or disengage.
3. If the transmission is automatic, engage the parking lock P.
· Drive carefully through the entrances to the
property, along the ramps, when going up curbs
or fixed delimitations and on the descents.
4. Engage the electronic parking brake.

5. On grades, turn the steering wheel so that if the parked vehicle
starts moving, it will steer toward the curb.
6. Shut off the engine and switch off the ignition
ÿ p. 154. The control indicator lights up red on the
instrument panel display.
7. Take your foot off the brake pedal.
8. To engage the steering lock, if necessary, turn the steering
wheel a little.
9. Get out of the vehicle ÿ . Be careful with
other road users!
10. Take all the keys to the vehicle with you and lock it.

unattended in the vehicle, accidents and serious injuries

The electronic parking brake disengages automatically when
