While it is folded down, the front airbag must be

The adjustment possibilities for the rear seats are  
described below. Always make sure that the seats  
are adjusted correctly ΓΏ p. 43.  
Β· When lowering and lifting, keep your hands,  
fingers, feet and other parts of the body out of  
the operating area of the seat hinges and locking  
mechanism.  
WARNING  
Β· Floor mats or other objects could get caught in the  
hinges of the passenger seat back. This would  
cause the backrest to not be correctly locked in  
the vertical position when raised.  
Before setting off, always adjust the rear seats  
correctly and make sure that all occupants are  
wearing their seatbelts correctly.  
Β· Adjust the rear seat only when the vehicle is

If cigarette lighters are left in the vehicle, they could  
be damaged or inadvertently ignited. This could  
cause serious burns and damage to the vehicle.  
Β· When the backrest of the passenger seat is folded  
down, it is only allowed to occupy the rear seat  
located behind the driver's seat. This also applies  
to children sitting in a child seat.  
Β· Before adjusting a seat, always make sure that  
there is no cigarette lighter in the area of the  
moving parts of the seat.

Β· When the center armrest is lowered, never allow anyone  
to ride in the center seat of the rear seat, neither adults  
nor children. Serious injuries can be sustained from  
sitting in the wrong position.  
The rear seat is divided asymmetrically, each part being  
able to be adjusted separately.  
Move the rear seat longitudinally  
Β· Never transport an adult or child sitting on the center  
armrest.  
WARNING  
In the third row seats it is only allowed to carry people  
(including children) who are less than 1.60 m (5 feet and  
3 inches). Persons taller than 1.60 m (5 feet 3 inches) or  
children sitting on a booster cushion that is too close to  
the window or headlining can be seriously injured in an  
accident or when the tailgate closes.  
Do not transport anyone, not even

1. Pull the left or right lever upwards in the direction of the

the same time, pull the corresponding loop with the

Β· Do not rub the seats with sharp objects. Sharp objects,  
such as zippers, rivets on clothing or belts, can damage  
the surfaces. Open Velcro fasteners can also cause  
damage.
