Lights  
WARNING  
Using turn signals incorrectly, not using them, or forgetting to  
switch them off can confuse other road users. This can lead to  
accidents and serious injury.

Turn indicators on and off  
· Always signal lane changes and overtaking and turning  
maneuvers well in advance using turn signals.  
· Turn off the direction indicator once you have  
completed the lane change and the overtaking and  
turning manoeuvres.  
The hazard flashers also work with the ignition off

Some settings can be saved in personalization  
function user accounts and are changed when switching  
user accounts ÿ p. 40.

1. Switch on the ignition.

When the key is removed from the ignition lock or the ignition is

Automatic connection of driving lights

When the automatic driving lights switch-on is switched on, the

The automatic switching on of the driving lights is only an  
auxiliary function and cannot always accurately identify all  
situations that occur while driving.

lights can be set in the vehicle settings menu of the infotainment  
system ÿ p. 41.

1. Switch on the ignition and switch on the dipped beam.

Depending on the country in question, the sensitivity of the high  
beam assistant can be adjusted in two  
levels:  
— A High beam comes on.  
Increase sensitivity: Push the turn signal and high beam lever  
forwards from the starting position and hold it in this position  
for approx. 15 seconds. The control indicator flashes three  
times in the instrument cluster as confirmation.  
— B The flashing lights are activated or the high beam is  
turned off. The flashes of light remain on as long as the  
lever is pulled.  
When the high beam or headlamps are on, the blue control  
indicator in the instrument cluster lights up.  
Restore sensitivity to standard setting: Press the turn signal  
and high beam lever forwards from the starting position and  
hold it in this position for approx. 15 seconds. The pair control  
lamp flashes briefly three times in the instrument cluster as  
confirmation.

Depending on the equipment, the vehicle may have a dynamic

WARNING  
Switch off high beam assist  
If the high beam is not used correctly, it could cause accidents  
and serious injuries because it can distract and dazzle other  
road users.  
1. Disconnect the automatic connection of the lights

the turn signal and high beam lever back.

turn signal and high beam lever forwards to switch on the
